XXX
XXX notings were first used in America on beer boxes. The boxes marked with X became a symbol of quality beer. Two or three marks with X was used by beer manufacturers to suggest beer strenght.
The definition of X films used as a indicative, became customary in the 70's nonmarking any parallel between alcohol and sex.
So, it is logic to conclude that after borowing the definition from old beer manufactorers "as many X as much strenght", with time XXX reaches to create the impression that an extremelly "hard" material is watched.
