What do you have to do to became an actor / porno model? ... simply, chose a porn model agency or an adult movie production house, and subscribe for an interview. I think is not necessary to specify… minors will be refused. Models must have an ID to avoid any unpleasant situations.

Once the appearance of the body corresponds and between the agency and mode an agreement is signed, the next step is the book. This digital book contains a limited number of pictures, showing the entire model's body, from three different angles: front, profile, back. These pictures remain stored in the agency's database. Using these pictures, producers and directors will choose models and plan casting shows.

Casting

Any director, photographer or production house needs a "live" casting before start the shooting. Here, models will take photos (Polaroid or digital) or even few seconds of film. Based on this "material", the director will choose the most photogenic models and together with the agency will work out the shooting plan.


General rules

The first and most important rule is that all team's member must be at least 18 years old. In some USA states the minimum age is 23. In this industry, which is the most verified industry, this rule is very strictly followed by every pornographer.

The appearance of a model must be nice and well cared - if you have white skin (like lime) I give you an advice: get a suntan; on the screen, white skin looks like an inanimate body; punctuality & earnestness and another very important thing - don't get high ... is noxiousness for your health, and if you came out on shooting stage and you are high, you will be sent home. That's for sure, if the director can't communicate with actors because of "hallucinogen" reasons, someone must leave. This will not be the director!


ID shot

Every porno actor must have two documents, an identity card and a passport and each one must be valid for at least one year.

Why two documents? Because the file must contain copies of these documents, the contract, copy of AIDS test and the "ID Shot". This term define a set of 3-5 pictures, which are taken for each protagonist, showing the face and the ID in foreground. In these pictures, all personal data from ID must be visible.

The ID shot, attached to the contract and documents mentioned above is absolutely necessary. The purpose of the ID shot is to prove that the person who performed in the film is the same with the one who signed the contract.


Contract

None of the production houses can use their pornographic or erotic material without an agreement with the performers.

Actually what is this all about? Is about a very elaborated contract, containing two very important paragraphs among others: 1. model/actor declare on his own responsibility, that the documents and AIDS test are not fake and that he is not suffering on any venereal diseases; 2. model/actor renounces all of his copyrights in the favor of the company which made the pictures or the film.


Man in black

Usually there are many men wanting to enter in this industry and a huge need for beautiful women. This explains why really beautiful women who enter in "Porn Biz", are invaded with exclusive contacts by big production houses. Men wanting a carrier in this industry usually must chose a beautiful woman to be his partner in a porn scene. Trying to find a male talent, according to the statistics, one of 30 - 50 men can finish his job. The chances to get a "demonstration role" are increasing if he has: 1 - AIDS test; 2 - a video tape, filmed by a third party, showing him haveing sex with a girl. This material must not be longer than few minutes proving that has no emotions and has complete erections during the shooting.

How much?

What is the income of a porno actor? Average income of females is between $100 and $1000 / scene, depending on category of sex practiced. For male the average is between $100 and $450 / day (one or two scenes).

Gay actors are earning between $200 and $2500 / scene. Top price is offered for stars.
